RODMAN'S SENIOR CITIZENS
The Council is an outgrowth of the Rodman
Senior Citizens Club of Cornerstone Baptist Church which was
organized in 1965 by the late Deacon John C. Dance.
Deacon Theodore Porter led the Council for many years
prior to his demise in 1988.
Deacon George Williams was his choice to lead the Council.
Slogan:
"I am a member of the Rodman Senior Citizens
Council because I care."
Objectives:

To strengthen the bond and relationship
of seniors in our church and
community.

To disseminate information beneficial
to seniors.

To provide services and training through
various agencies.

To address problems/situations concerning
seniors.
Accomplishments:
Annual visits by Brook Plaza Eye Care Center.
Annual visits by Brooklyn's Communication & Hearing Aide
Center.
Involvement in Elder Law (New York Technical College)
and
Internal Revenue Service VITA
program.
Weekly mail contact and visitation to sick and shut-ins.
Annual Fellowship Awards Luncheon.
Annual Christmas Fellowship.
