Pastor's Tithing Club

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. (Malachi 3:10)

The Pastor's Tithing Club was formally introduced to the Cornerstone family on January 2, 2000. At the first Sunday morning service of the new millennium, Pastor Harry S. Wright offered a challenge to everyone within the sound of his voice, "Why don't you try God?" Give God a tithe (tithe means tenth) and see if he doesn't return it back to you and bless you bountifully. It's a divine law: the more you give, the more you receive. We can't out-give God. Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down and shaken together and, running over shall men give unto your bosom. (Luke 6:38)

Many members of Cornerstone have accepted the invitation and have become members of the Pastor's Tithing Club. We are encouraged to give as a response of gratitude for the blessings given to us. God pays careful attention to our motive. Offerings do not mean a thing in his sight unless they are given with a cheerful spirit and from a thankful heart. They are to be used for the support of the ministry, but they are given as an expression of thanksgiving on our part. We tithe out of love and gratitude, because we know that God has poured out blessings abundantly into our lives. Membership in this rewarding club is open to everyone.
