MOTHER  of the  YEAR

Cornerstone Baptist Church School

          Mrs. Pearl Belt joined the Cornerstone Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. T. W. Fentress in 1941, sixty-five years ago.

           Soon after she was baptized, she joined the Senior Choir, under the direction of Mrs. Maude B. Taylor.

          Mrs. Belt has been a member of the church school since 1946, Deacon Cyril A. Davis was the General Superintendent.  She became a teacher in the Primary Department in 1947.  After five years, she transferred to the Adult Department class # 14, Mrs. Robinson was the teacher.  After her death, Mrs. Mamie Hill became the teacher.  After the death of Mrs. Hill, Mrs. Belt became the teacher until the small classes enjoined together and Bro. Johnny Brown and Mrs. Belt teach class # 3 jointly. 

         Mrs. Belt is also active in the following clubs:

1)                She is a member of the credit union and the supervisory Board.

2)                She is former president of the NBC …

3)                She is secretary of the Rodman Senior Citizen’s Council…..

          Mrs. Pearl Belt has been married to Deacon Harolde Belt for 64 years.  They  have 3 sons, two grand-children and two great –grand children.
