Among his numerous awards and certificates of appreciation, his most coveted ones were awarded by the South Carolina Club of Cornerstone Baptist Church and the History Maker's Award given by the Allen Jordan's Laymen's Movement of Cornerstone Baptist Church for outstanding contributions to the church and the community.
Jenal L. Hardaway answered God’s call to preach in a dream. Under the leadership of her father in the ministry, Dr. Thomas J. Boyd, Pastor Emeritus of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church, Minister Hardaway was licensed to preach in 1994. Minister Hardaway served as the Director of Christian Education, Advisor to the General Missionary Society, Founder and Facilitator of Biblically Empowered Singles for Truth (B.E.S.T.). Under her direction, Salem had its first Leadership Conference. In 1996, Minister Hardaway was called by the Parkchester Baptist and Senior Pastor, Dr. Hillary Gaston, to serve as the Assistant Pastor in the Bronx, New York. Minister Hardaway was ordained by Pastor Boyd and her home church, Salem, in 1997.
Rev F. Timothy Fraley is a native of Brooklyn NY and a life long member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, he is the youngest of six siblings born to Henry and Ollie Fraley. Minister Fraley began his early education in the New York City Public school System and received diplomas, certificates and degrees from: Erasmus Hall High School, Fashion Institute of Technology, State University of New York, New York University and is currently enrolled in Nyack Collage preparing to pursue theological studies at Alliance Theological Seminary.
Min. D. Nelson
Since 1989, Dietrich A. Nelson has been a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. He has been Blessed to receive support from the church, Pastor Dr. Lawrence E. Aker III and First Lady Mrs. Cynthia D. Aker as he continues to be uplifted in the joy of service. He was born in Arkansas and grew up there and in other states. His father, Rev. Herman Nelson who is now married to Mrs. Geraldine C. Nelson, is the Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in Middleburg, VA and is a retired military officer. His mother, the late Mrs. Wanda F. Nelson, was a highly respected educator, mentor and principal. She was also a humble servant of God and a classically trained musician nationally known for her soprano voice.
